Vancouver New Music is ready to unveil the innovative results of Parallel 04: UNION Immersed—a unique WebXR project.

The performances and installations take place on November 28 from 11 am to 6 pm in free viewings at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre; pre-registration is required, and, to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety, capacity will be limited for this event to 50 percent.

Parallel 04 brought together artists from a range of backgrounds—including visual and sound design, creative writing, dance and media arts—for a collaborative WebXR mentorship project guided by Kiran Bhumber ਕਿਰਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਭੰਬਰ and Nancy Lee 李南屏

Over the course of four weeks, participants Adewolf, Max Ammo, Colt Desjarlais-Tataquasan, Alanna Ho, Hadis Kakanejadi, Scope G, Kimit Sekhon, Ruby Singh, Tamar Tabori, and Andrea Wong developed WebXR projects using platforms and tools like Mozilla Hubs.

Performances thoughout the day are as follows: 11 am to 12:30 pm; 1:30 to 3 pm; and 4 to 5:30 pm.

Register and find more info here; the project website is here.

Parallel 04 is copresented by Vancouver New Music, INTER/MEDIATE and CURRENT, in partnership with The Roundhouse.
