Shadbolt Centre for the Arts presents The Piano Men Tour, featuring Royal Wood and Jeffery Straker, on March 13 at 7 pm.

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Wood was proclaimed “Songwriter of the Year” by iTunes in 2010, and has since continued to hone his unique musical craft. He has been nominated for five Canadian Folk Music Awards and several Juno Awards, and his songs have been heard on high-profile programs such as Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. Wood released his deeply personal latest album, What Tomorrow Brings, in November 2022.

Classically trained pianist Straker serves up rootsy storytelling with rich narratives. He has showcased at numerous major events, including Canadian Music Week, NXNE, Breakout West, and Juno Fest. Straker took home a Western Canadian Music Award in 2019 and has twice been named Keyboard Player of the Year at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards.
