It’s no secret that Strathcona is home to a flourishing arts community. But Strathcona has also become a hub for some of the most notable contemporary-art galleries in Vancouver and across the country.

You’ll find galleries focused on lifting up local emerging artists, Indigenous artists, and artists who are renowned nationally and internationally. The diversity of art disciplines, exhibition approaches, and unique spaces offers something for everyone.

You can experience them all through Art Walk Strathcona—a self-guided experience that invites people to discover Strathcona’s extraordinary gallery district.

Be dazzled by the beaded and leatherwork pieces at Marcy Friesen’s exhibition S0E 0L0 at Fazakas Gallery, or take in the bold textures, layers, and colours of Jonathan Syme’s new exhibition Adult Contemporary at Monte Clark.

On this final weekend of the event, you can also discover striking contemporary art on billboards along East Hastings.

Enter to win an incredible Art Walk Strathcona experience prize, including your own art piece, private gallery tours, and $200 in local gift cards, by photographing the art billboards and sharing to your Instagram account using #ArtWalkStrathcona and tagging @madeinstrathcona.
