The Music of Thad Jones is coming to the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on Sunday, December 4, at 7:30 pm.

The Vancouver Jazz Orchestra is proud to present this night of music by the late legendary trumpeter, composer and bandleader Thad Jones, featuring renowned New York City trumpeter Jeremy Pelt.

A long-time arranger for the Count Basie band, Jones went on to co-lead the Grammy Award-winning Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, one of the most influential big bands since the swing era.

As swinging as it is exciting and soulful, Jones’s music is an absolute joy to experience.

VJO’s live performance takes place in the Studio Theatre at the Shadbolt (6450 Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby). Experiencing the show via livestream is also an option.
