The Vancouver Cantata Singers warmly invite people to the 19th edition of Christmas Reprise.

This cherished concert brings traditional carols and contemporary Christmas compositions for unaccompanied choir to two wonderful venues and resonant spaces: Holy Rosary Cathedral in downtown Vancouver and Queens Avenue United Church in New Westminster.

Join the Vancouver Cantata Singers and let the beauty of a cappella singing calm your spirit and transport your soul. The choir will present a beautiful selection of works, including Herbert Howells’ “A Spotless Rose”, Judith Weir's “My Guardian Angel”, and settings of “Ave Maria” by R. Nathaniel Dett and, of course, Franz Biebl. The singing of Biebl’s “Ave Maria” will close Christmas Reprise this year, as it has every time the Vancouver Cantata Singers have performed this concert over the last two decades.

Christmas Reprise XIX takes place at Holy Rosary Cathedral on December 17 at 2 pm and at Queens Avenue United Church on December 17 at 7:30 pm.

This is the second performance in the ensemble’s four-concert season, Fortitude: Strength in Song, which opened with a wonderful concert in October at Christ Church Cathedral. Two- and three-concert packages are still available, and subscribers get preferred seating at Holy Rosary Cathedral.
