Vancouver Chopin Society is thrilled to present distinguished Italian pianist Federico Colli in recital on November 21 at 3 pm at the Vancouver Playhouse.

Praised by the Daily Telegraph for “his beautifully light touch and lyrical grace” and called “one of the more original thinkers of his generation” by Gramophone, Colli has been rapidly gaining global attention for his compelling, unconventional interpretations and clarity of sound.

Colli’s first release of sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, recorded on Chandos Records for whom he is an exclusive recording artist, was awarded Recording of the Year by Presto Classical.

Following his early successes, including the Gold Medal at the 2012 Leeds International Piano Competition, the international Piano Magazine selected him as one of 30 pianists under 30 who are “likely to dominate the world stage in years to come”.

Colli’s recital will include works by Scarlatti, Mozart, Schubert, and Bach-Busoni.

For tickets, call Chan Centre box office at 604-822-2697 or click here. Capacity will be limited to 50 percent. Program notes are available online.
