On April 16 at 3 pm, the Vancouver Chopin Society will commemorate their 25th anniversary with a special performance by Polish pianist Tomasz Ritter, 2018 gold medalist of the 1st International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments.

Returning to the society after playing an online recital during the pandemic, Ritter is making his Canadian debut with a live performance at the Vancouver Playhouse.

The musician will be playing on an 1819 Conrad Graf piano crafted by master instrument builder Paul McNulty, on loan to the Vancouver Chopin Society for Ritter’s concert with thanks to Early Music Vancouver.

As part of the celebration, there will be a reception for all audience members following the performance with a toast to Chopin, great music, and the 25th birthday of the Vancouver Chopin Society.

Information cards will be available at the concert about the society’s upcoming 2023-2024 season—a sensesational season, not to be missed!

More information about the program and tickets can be found at the Vancouver Chopin Society.
