The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra invites guests to a special one-night-only performance at the Orpheum Theatre with Juno Award-winning band Said The Whale, on April 19 at 8 pm.

A staple in the Canadian indie rock scene formed in Vancouver, Said The Whale will be trading in their guitars, drums, and bass for the full symphonic forces of the VSO in a unique and unforgettable concert experience. The performance, partially sponsored by the SOCAN Foundation, will be led by RBC assistant conductor David Bui.

Said The Whale is composed of singer-songwriters Tyler Bancroft and Ben Worcester, keyboardist Jaycelyn Brown, and bassist Lincoln Hotchen. The group formed in 2007 and has since released a total of 7 albums, many of which topped Canadian rock music charts.

Their latest album, Dandelion, was released in October 2021 under Bancroft’s new record label, EVERYTHING FOREVER.

Tickets for the upcoming Orpheum concert can be found at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
