The West Vancouver Memorial Library is inviting aspiring singer-songwriters, composers, musicians, and producers to apply for an exciting three-month paid musical residency program as their Sound Artist in Residence starting mid-August 2024.

The program revolves around the library’s new Recording Studio, which provides musicians, producers, podcasters, voice actors, and the public access to premium recording equipment, a sound booth, a live room, and professional audio editing software. The successful applicant will also have access to the library’s grand and electric pianos to craft their next masterpiece.

This full-time, three-month contract offers a $12,000 stipend, and artists who identify as Indigenous are strongly encouraged to apply. As the May 19 deadline approaches, applicants will have the opportunity to showcase their experience and vision for community engagement with two music samples from the past 24 months.

To take part in this transformative musical experience, apply to the District of West Vancouver careers portal.
