Arts Umbrella Dance Company presents MIDSEASON at the Vancouver Playhouse on March 7 and 8, at 7:30 pm both nights.

Under the artistic direction of Artemis Gordon, the brand-new performance will feature a lineup of thrilling and innovative works by leading Canadian and international choreographers: Paxton Ricketts, Ethan Colangelo, Sharon Eyal, Lukas Timulak, Gioconda Barbuto, Julia Cratchley, and more.

The dancers spent months through the fall and winter learning each piece, including Netherlands-based choreographer Timulak’s Continuous Path, which was originally created during the Nederlands Dans Theater summer intensive in 2017.

Arts Umbrella Dance Company is a pre-professional repertory company made up of over 60 dancers selected from Arts Umbrella Dance’s professional training program and post-secondary programs. Performances such as MIDSEASON are an integral part of the dancers’ training, preparing them for dance education at the university level or a professional dance career.

Tickets for the show are available at Arts Umbrella.
