Studio 58, the professional theatre training program at snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ Langara College, is back with its annual hit musical. Discover what’s lurking between the trees with Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods from February 1 to 18, with showtimes at 2 pm and 7:30 pm.

This Tony Award-winning musical follows the paths of beloved and iconic fairy tale characters as they venture into the darkness of an enchanted forest. Featuring Little Red Riding Hood, the Wolf, Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Jack and the Beanstalk, the production’s characters must band together to battle a witch’s curse and a giant.

Directed by Barbara Tomasic, Into the Woods features music and lyrics by Sondheim and book by James Lapine, who directed the original production on Broadway. The show also features a live quartet of violin, cello, reeds, and trumpet, helmed by musical director and band leader Sean Bayntun.
