Founded by dance artist Ralph Escamillan,Van Vogue Jam is teaming up with the organization to present a Supernatural Kiki Ball. Expect runway divas, vogue battles, and competitions for grand cash prizes. Categories include Runway, Realness, Bizarre, and more.
The theme inspiring the celebration is supernatural beings from the past, present, and future, drawing on all things above and beyond the natural world.
Van Vogue Jam has grown Vancouver’s ballroom culture over the past eight years, creating a safe space for queer and BIPOC communities to showcase the artistry of fashion, art, and performance on the runway.
This is the first time the two organizations have teamed up for an event. Hosts for the evening are Khelsilem 007 and Jaye Simpson.
