Goh Ballet brings classical beauty to the virtual Discover Dance! series, June 3 to 17
Streaming from the Dance Centre, program showcases classical, traditional Chinese, and contemporary works
The Dance Centre streams the Goh Ballet from June 3 at noon until June 17
TUTUS, POINTE SHOES, and masks: the Goh Ballet will have that extra piece of costuming in some of the graceful pieces it showcases in a new digitally streamed mixed program.
The company has kept active throughout the pandemic, honing its dancers, opening a Toronto branch, and even staging an online Nutcracker last holiday season.
Now, the troupe shows off what it’s been up to as part of The Dance Centre’s Discover Dance! series.
In a streamed performance, members of the Goh Ballet Youth Company and Senior Professional Division will perform solos celebrating classical repertoire, Chinese traditional dance, and contemporary works. See the trailer below for a preview of the whirling, light-as-air offerings on view.
