Imagine Van Gogh the Original Immersive Exhibition in Image Totale runs at the Vancouver Convention Centre until October 15.

THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND people can’t be wrong: with that many people having visited Imagine Van Gogh the Original Immersive Exhibition since it opened at the Vancouver Convention Centre in March, the show has been extended for yet another time.

The extension makes Vancouver is one of the top-selling locations for Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron’s international exhibition, which immerses visitors in the Dutch artist’s work through Image Totale technology.

Presented by Tandem Expositions and produced by Encore Productions (France)—a Fimalac Entertainment Group company, Imagine Van Gogh has captured the globe since its world premiere at La Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris in 2017. In Canada, it saw 200,000 visitors in Montreal and another 75,000 in Quebec City, even amid the challenges imposed by COVID-19. The show travelled to Winnipeg and Edmonton before coming to the West Coast. Imagine Van Gogh will start its US tour in Boston in December 2021.

Meanwhile, Vancouver’s response to the exhibition has exceeded all expectations.

In keeping with pandemic public-health protocols, Imagine Van Gogh will have limited capacity and timed entries.

Encore Productions is also behind Imagine Picasso, a similar immersive experience, which premiered in Lyon in 2019. Imagine Picasso made his North American premiere in Québec in this past June; more dates and cities are to be announced soon.

Tickets and more information are at www.imagine-vangogh.com.
