This fall, Alliance Française Vancouver is hosting the innovative virtual reality exhibition V-Unframed, which merges art, science, and technology.
From November 13 to 15, V-Unframed features a selection of local and international virtual reality artworks from France, Mauritania, Taiwan, and beyond. Folks can drop in and browse the pieces from 11 am to 7 pm each day by booking a time slot in advance here.
Among the special events happening as part of the exhibition is Martin Messier’s 1 Drop 1000 Years. This captivating sensory performance is inspired by the major ocean currents that regulate the planet’s climate. Based on real scientific data, 15 kinetic sculptures transform the movements of water into an all-encompassing visual and sound experience.
1 Drop 1000 Years takes place at Alliance Française Vancouver on November 12 at 7:30 pm, with a meet-the-art talk after the show. Tickets are available online.
