Art with Heart: Zoë Pawlak brings creative vision to Canuck Place's annual Gift of Time Gala, October 24
Accompanying silent auction raises funds for children with serious illnesses across British Columbia and the Yukon
Zoë Pawlak and her artwork
Vancouver artist Zoë Pawlak has built her career by creating vibrant, expressive works that explore the beauty of nature, emotion, and connection. This fall, she’s bringing that same creative spirit to a cause close to many hearts: supporting children with serious illnesses and the families who love them through Canuck Place Children’s Hospice’s annual Gift of Time Gala, taking place on October 24 at Fairmont Pacific Rim.
As one of British Columbia’s most recognized contemporary artists, Pawlak is contributing more than an original artwork for the gala’s silent auction. Her artistic vision is also shaping the event’s overall creative experience, serving as the inspiration behind the gala’s design, aesthetic, and atmosphere.
Pawlak is known for her bold use of colour and organic forms. She will weave her style into every aspect of the evening, from event branding and decor elements to the visual details that welcome guests into the space. The collaboration demonstrates the power of art to inspire generosity, spark meaningful connections, and bring communities together around a shared purpose.

For Pawlak, this partnership with Canuck Place is an opportunity to use her platform in support of an organization that provides extraordinary care for children with serious illnesses across British Columbia and the Yukon. Funds raised through the Gift of Time Gala support specialized pediatric palliative care, medical respite, pain and symptom management, counselling and bereavement support, recreation and music therapy, and end-of-life care at no cost to families.
The annual gala has become one of the organization’s signature fundraising events, helping raise over $20 million dollars to ensure children and families receive compassionate, specialized care when they need it most.
Folks don’t need to attend the gala to make a difference. The Gift of Time Gala silent auction opens on October 18, and offers an opportunity to bid on exclusive experiences, luxury items, and Pawlak’s donated artwork, with proceeds directly supporting Canuck Place families.
To browse auction items and place a bid, visit the Gift of Time Gala silent auction online until October 24. Every bid helps provide comfort, care, and precious moments for children and families facing unimaginable challenges.
