FREE-FLOWING JAZZ and deeply layered Middle Eastern music merge in an upcoming concert by Itamar Erez Quartet as part of West Vancouver Art Museum’s West Coast Modern Week.

The bossa nova inspired performance is all about summertime sounds at Swáy̓wi Temíxw, the rooftop garden of the West Vancouver Memorial Library. The breezy outdoor space opens at 4:30 pm for general admission seating.

The Israeli-born Erez, on guitar, trained as a classical musician and composer and has performed around the globe, from Tunisia to Colombia to Cyprus. With the Omar Faruk Tekbilek Ensemble, he made his Carnet Hall debut in 2018. Erez will be joined by bassist Jeff Gammon, clarinettist Sam Davidson, and percussionist Kevin Romain for the golden hour show.

West Coast Modern Week runs to July 9, celebrating the architectural style through exhibitions, tours, and more.
