Fall is shaping up to be a season of wonder and delight with the launch of Capilano University Theatre Department’s first two shows. It’s a Wonderful Life and The Importance of Being Earnest run in repertory at CapU Centre from November 12 to 21.

It’s a Wonderful Life is based on the iconic 1946 film, a heartfelt Christmas drama about a man who gave up on his dreams. Nick Harrison, who is directing this production, is highlighting the story’s inherent themes of friendship, community, and small acts of kindness.

Running in repertory with It’s a Wonderful Life is The Importance of Being Earnest, a sparkling classic comedy by the legendary Oscar Wilde. Director Chilton Crane will be exploring similarities between the Victorian society Wilde satirized and the foibles of the social media age—including what people show the world, and what they choose to hide.

Tickets are available, along with show dates and times, here.
