Chor Leoni presents its 34th annual Remembrance Day concerts, The Songs Will Remain—a moving experience that invites reflection, meditation, and hope for a better world. The choir’s soaring voices will ring out at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church on November 11. Audiences will witness tradition meeting current perspectives, sorrow meeting solace, and remembrance opening the door to peace.
Among the featured musicians is Iranian-Canadian santour player Saina Khaledi, who achieved significant recognition by emerging victorious in the Iranian Santour Festival in 2003. Pianist Tina Chang, trumpet player Katherine Evans, and organist Michael Dirk will also join the choir.
The program will honour the fallen through evocative readings and a unique blend of classical, folk, and pop music, including Ken Cormier’s arrangement of Army Dreamers, which has garnered over 1 million views on YouTube.
The concerts will take place at 2 pm and 5 pm. For tickets and more details, visit Chor Leoni.
