Shanghai-based multimedia artist Lu Yang uses the unexpected platform of the video game to take on everything from gender to spirituality in the digital age.
Get a peek into his yet-to-be-released The Great Adventure of the Material World via the Polygon Gallery on Tuesday, when he takes part in a livestreamed virtual discussion and screening.
It’s a chance to tune in with a cutting-edge artist who’s as likely to wield futuristic XR technology as pop culture influences.
Lu was part of the Polygon’s recent Third Realm exhibit of contemporary Asian works.
