Vancouver Cantata Singers continues an a cappella tradition with Christmas Reprise XXII, December 20
Performances at Holy Rosary Cathedral and Sanctuary on 6th serve as a break from the bustle of the holiday season
Vancouver Cantata Singers’s Christmas Reprise at Holy Rosary Cathedral.
Vancouver Cantata Singers presents the 22nd annual Christmas Reprise, a popular concert of traditional carols and contemporary compositions, on December 20 at two resonant spaces. Performances are taking place at Vancouver’s Holy Rosary Cathedral at 2 pm, and at New Westminster’s Sanctuary on 6th, formerly Queens Avenue United Church, at 7:30 pm.
In the bustle of the holiday season, let the beauty of a cappella singing calm the spirit and transport the soul as the choir sings a program of favourites, including Miles Ramsay’s “It Came Upon A Midnight Clear”, Franz Biebl’s “Ave Maria”, and the premiere of a brand-new arrangement of “I Wash My Face In A Golden Vase” by Sophia Colpitts, commissioned by the Vancouver Cantata Singers.
It is recommended that folks purchase tickets early, as this concert always sells out. In keeping with tradition, it is taking place the Saturday before Christmas.
Tickets are available through the Vancouver Cantata Singers.
