The Gateway Theatre presents Anne of Green Gables from December 15 to 31

NO WIGS ARE needed as auburn-haired Kyra Leroux—last seen as Gracie Shinn in Gateway Theatre’s Music Man—returns to that stage to star as the lead in the Canadian classic Anne of Green Gables—The Musical.

The young star, possibly best known for playing Britta Beach on Riverdale, is a local triple threat—her dance chops alone spanning hip-hop, tap, contemporary, and ballet.

Here, she’ll bring to life the imaginative, feisty heroine of L.M. Montgomery’s timeless books, Anne Shirley—the freckle-faced, red-pig-tailed orphan who shakes up her quaint new hometown Avonlea, Prince Edward Island.

Barbara Tomasic helms the production, with music direction by Sean Bayntun, and choreography by Nicol Spinola.

Expect Leroux to inject fresh life into the well-known character—and the same beloved musical that has been running at the Charlottetown Festival for eons.
