Erik Angel brings his project Comedy for Peace to the Chutzpah! Festival on November 22 at 7:30 pm at the Norman & Annette Rothstein Theatre.
Comedy for Peace brings together some of the best stand-up comedians—Jewish, Christian, Muslim—for a show of “no politics. just laughs.” This show proves that people of different religions can work and laugh together, and create connections along the way. Joining Angel will be Ashley Austin Morris, Natan Badalov, and Zara Khan.
This unforgettably funny evening will feature Angel, who delivers comedy with heart, edge, and a global perspective. Born and raised in Israel and now based in New York, Erik has performed in over 100 cities across the U.S. and in more than a dozen countries worldwide. He’s opened for headliners like Maz Jobrani and Zarna Garg, appeared on NBC, and has been featured in numerous comedy festivals.
Angel’s stand-up—which has racked up over 3 million views on TikTok—is sharp, high-energy, and deeply personal. His sets tackle the hilarity and chaos of life as someone who is a recent immigrant, a Jewish newlywed in his 40s, and proudly speaks English-Falafel 24/7.

Morris, a regular at New York’s legendary Comedy Cellar, Gotham Comedy Club, and Stand Up NY, has appeared on shows like Eliza Shlesinger, Tommy, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. In 2022, she released her debut comedy album Slightly Off, which showcases her sharp wit, fearless storytelling, and signature New York edge.
Badalov is a Bukharian-American comedian whose work has been featured on Adult Swim and at the New York Comedy Festival. Born in Uzbekistan, he immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1990s and is now based in New York City. He recently released his debut comedy special, Connect the Dots, which is now available on YouTube.
And Khan, a Pakistani-American comedian and competitive Yugioh player, draws from her personal experiences navigating life as a single Muslim in America—tackling topics such as discrimination, dating, and even competing in Burqini contests.
The Chutzpah! Festival takes place from November 12 to 23. Tickets to Comedy for Peace and more details are available here.
