The Monsoon Festival of Performing Arts presents The Comic Singh: Na Sirr Na Pair at the Surrey Arts Centre on August 16 at 7 pm
PUNJABI COMEDIAN MANPREET SINGH comes from humble beginnings; for much of his life, he worked in the hospitality industry delivering pizzas. Now he’s slinging jokes onstage for a living, performing sizzling sets for crowds across Canada, Europe, Australia, and beyond.
It all started with a little support from his friends and family. In just a couple of years, Singh has amassed more than 580,000 Instagram followers and 230,000 YouTube subscribers. He riffs on everything from getting a fish pedicure while solo travelling to the way younger generations using dating apps (check out the clip below with English subtitles).
At this year’s Monsoon Festival of Performing Arts, Singh will deliver his popular show Na Sirr Na Pair, which translates to “Neither Head nor Tail”. Catch him at the Surrey Arts Centre on the evening of August 16 for a three-hour set in Punjabi, plus a post-show meet-and-greet.
Of note about Singh’s comedy is that he always keeps it clean. Audience members ages three and up are welcome. ![]()
