Metro Theatre welcomes Dan Goggin’s musical comedy Nunsense back to the stage from February 27 to March 21, after a highly popular run in 2022. One of the longest-running and most frequently produced musicals in the world, Nunsense has delighted audiences for decades with its sharp humour, infectious energy, and unapologetically playful spirit.

Set in the convent of the Little Sisters of Hoboken, the story follows five nuns who must stage an emergency fundraiser after an unfortunate cooking accident leaves the convent facing a financial crisis. What begins as a practical solution quickly becomes a wildly unpredictable variety show—complete with musical numbers, surprising talents, and escalating chaos.

The creative team for Nunsense includes director Shel Piercy, choreographer Shelley Stewart Hunt, music director Carlina Dykstra, and producer Steve Dotto. The cast is led by Jenn Suratos as the formidable Mother Superior, alongside Mary Cleaver, Meghan Anderssen, Paula Higgins, and Jaclyn Sim.
