Vetta Chamber Music presents Concert Two: Lineage, a remarkable artistic collaboration between violist Jacob van der Sloot and his musical family, from November 13 to 16.
Jacob is the associate principal violist of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and a favourite of Vetta audiences. For this concert, he is joined by his siblings Grace, Sophie, and Paul van der Sloot (on viola and cellos respectively); his cousin, violinist Maria van der Sloot; and his sister-in-law, violinist Sarah Douglass (Paul’s wife).
The troupe is taking the stage to play Dvořák and Brahms string sextets—beloved works that feature soaring melodies and lush harmonies.
Performances are happening at West Point Grey United Church on November 13 at 2 pm, West Vancouver United Church on November 14 at 7:30 pm, Pyatt Hall on November 15 at 2 pm, and ArtSpring on Salt Spring Island on November 16 at 2:30 pm.
