Visions Ouest presents La Tournée Québec Cinéma in Vancouver, February 12 to 14
Touring French film festival brings three titles to Alliance Française Vancouver with special guests Éric Bruneau and Yan Lanouette Turgeon

Visions Ouest Productions presents this year’s edition of La Tournée Québec Cinéma, a French-language touring film festival, at Alliance Française Vancouver from February 12 to 14.
This annual festival propels Québecois films from coast to coast, making it the most important outreach activity for French-language cinematography across Canada. Vancouver audiences will be treated to three film screenings (with English subtitles) featuring special-guest appearances.
Ababouiné opens the screenings on February 12, featuring a guest appearance by actor Éric Bruneau. Set in 1957 in working-class Montreal, the film directed by André Forcier revolves around a young typographer apprentice who participates in the publication of an anti-clerical pamphlet.
On February 13, Mlle Bottine screens with director Yan Lanouette Turgeon in attendance. On February 14, there’s extraterrestrial romance Vous n’êtes pas seuls, the debut feature from writer-director duo Marie-Hélène Viens and Philippe Lupien; it received an honourable mention for Best Canadian Discovery Award at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
