Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley

Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, a witty and wise sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, is coming to Metro Theatre from November 7 to 29.

In this production, playwrights Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon put a spotlight on the forgotten Bennet sister, Mary. As they gather for a family Christmas reunion, Mary meets potential suitor Arthur de Bourgh, and sparks fly over a shared love of science. The only problem is that he’s promised to another.

Will Mary take a leap of faith and admit her love to Arthur, or stay hidden away with her books and piano practice? With touches of comedy and heartache, this literate Christmas romance directed by Catherine Morrison is the perfect start to the season of goodwill.

Audience talkbacks with the director, cast, and crew will take place following the performances on November 14 and 23.
