Vancouver Chamber Choir kicks off its 55th season with Chosen Family, led by Artistic Director Kari Turunen, at Christ Church Cathedral on October 3 at 7:30 pm.
Chosen Family is a celebration of all the people who have supported the Vancouver Chamber Choir, sung with and worked for the organization, and attended its concerts over the years—or in other words, everyone who makes the choir’s performances possible.
The program for the evening will include a collection of favourites spanning centuries, from a mid-1500s composition by Thomas Tallis to a 2023 work by Stuart Beatch, the choir’s 2025-26 composer-in-residence. Chosen Family will also feature Only in Sleep by Latvian contemporary composer Ēriks Ešenvalds.
The Intertidal Choral Ensemble, led by Artistic Director Jaime Yoon, will perform alongside the Vancouver Chamber Choir in its first performance as the organization’s affiliate choir.
Tickets to Chosen Family are available through the Vancouver Chamber Choir.
Post sponsored by Vancouver Chamber Choir.
