The Polygon Gallery is presenting its first annual Halloween party fundraiser on October 31. Designed for guests 19 and up, this Saturday night bash takes place throughout the entire building and runs from 8 pm until 1 am.

Attendees can expect an immersive, demonic ’80s aerobics party filled with neon leotards, big hair, and surprises, as the city’s top live acts and DJs help folks feel the burn on the dance floor. Monitors throughout the building will play clips from iconic ’80s aerobics films like Flashdance and Perfect, as well as popular VHS workout tapes from Jane Fonda and Richard Simmons. Motivational phrases splashed across gallery walls will keep the energy high and attendees fully locked in.

Emceeing the festivities is triple-threat drag artist Genesis, who is a winner of Vancouver’s Next Drag Superstar competition. The event will also feature live performances by Trauma Novelle, a Lynchian cabaret act; Reveal Yourself, a quirky pop duo; and Devours, an acclaimed dark synth-pop outfit, with Christa Belle DJing between sets.

In the second room, two popular Vancouver club nights—Club Bebé, featuring Binky and Brendocha; and Black Box, featuring Auntie Money, Jesse Walker, and Pip—will pop up at The Polygon for the evening and are sure to keep people dancing well past the witching hour.

The ground floor of the gallery will be transformed into a barcade courtesy of renowned tattoo artist James Acrow, who has hand-built ’80s-style arcade cabinets. These playable artworks offer unlimited freeplay and feature over 5,000 games each. For the adventurous partygoers, Acrow will also be offering Halloween-themed tattoos.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up for the party. At midnight, a $500 cash prize will be awarded to the guest with the best costume, and more prizes will be handed out for the best group costumes.

Early-bird tickets and VIP packages are on sale now. Each VIP experience includes a line bypass, complimentary coat check, a welcome cocktail, exclusive access to the VIP lounge and bar, and a personal tarot reading to enhance the Halloween vibe.

Purchase tickets to the party through The Polygon Gallery. All sales support the gallery’s exhibition programming.
