White Rock Concerts launches 2025-26 season with the Cheng² Duo’s Unravelling Ravel, October 18
Season subscriptions for the long-standing organization’s six-concert series are now available for purchase

White Rock Concerts has announced its 2025-26 season with six stellar offerings in store. All concerts will be presented on Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm at the White Rock Baptist Church in South Surrey.
The season will launch on October 18 with the Cheng² Duo, composed of cellist Bryan Cheng and pianist Silvie Cheng. Based in Canada with musical roots in Berlin and New York City, the siblings have performed internationally at acclaimed festivals and in famous concert halls. Bryan was awarded the Virginia Parker Prize by the Canada Council for the Arts in 2023, while Silvie was recently a fellow at the National Arts Club. The duo’s upcoming program, Unravelling Ravel, will feature works by Ravel, Debussy, de Falla, and Mussorgsky.

On November 29, the Pacific Baroque Orchestra will present Alexander Weimann’s arrangement of J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations for a chamber ensemble of strings, winds, and harpsichord. There will be a pre-concert chat at 7:15 pm with Weimann and White Rock Concerts artistic director Marcel Bergmann.
On January 31, 2026, Soulful Strings with the John Avison Chamber Orchestra and conductor Leslie Dala will feature Schubert’s Death and the Maiden. On February 28, 2026, rising pianist Kevin Chen will play pieces by Chopin, Liszt, and Scriabin. And on March 28, 2026, Juno Award–winning piano quartet Ensemble Made In Canada will pair piano quartets by Fauré and Saint-Saëns with Canadian commissions.

Garlands of Spain with the Turning Point Ensemble and the Bergmann Duo will close the season on April 18, 2026. The concert will include the premiere of Marcel Bergmann’s arrangement of Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield, Manuel De Falla’s El amor brujo, and the folk-melody piece Spanish Garland.
Since 1956, White Rock Concerts has presented an annual season of classical music concerts featuring acclaimed Canadian and international artists. The long-standing society is renowned for presenting top-quality artists at affordable rates.
