Ballet BC audiences are invited to experience the creative universe of trailblazing choreographic duo Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber with UNITY, at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre from May 7 to 9. The Batsheva Dance Company alumni are returning to share a sweeping full-length follow up to their 2025 debut with the company.
The pair—who have been commanding attention in the worlds of contemporary dance, film, and live theatre—share a movement language strongly rooted in Gaga, following years as dancers with Ohad Naharin’s renowned Batsheva Dance Company.
This gripping, inventive, and searingly intimate world premiere is a perfect match for the unparalleled physicality and emotional range of Ballet BC’s dancers, whose first journey with Smith and Schraiber was for the creation of Obsidian during the 2024–25 season.
The upcoming work features a full-company cast and a string quartet performing a Philip Glass score live onstage.
Tickets are available through Ballet BC.
