Burnaby Art Gallery highlights City of Burnaby Permanent Art Collection in New Acquisitions, opening September 12

Burnaby Art Gallery presents New Acquisitions, an exhibition that celebrates the recent gifts and purchases of the City of Burnaby Permanent Art Collection, from September 12 to November 2. An opening reception will take place on September 11 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

New Acquisitions highlights the collection trends of local citizens who have generously donated artworks, as well as prioritizes the mandate of the Gallery to preserve works from diverse perspectives into the future.

The exhibition features recent work from Shuvinai Ashoona, Chun Hua Catherine Dong, Rawan Hassan, Karice Mitchell, Kimberly Fulton Orozco, Manuel Axel Strain, and Tania Willard, as well as historical works by Garo Antreasian, Glenn Brown, Honoré Daumier, Salme Kaljur, Concordia Klar, Pedro Puerta, Ann Newdigate, Robert Rauschenberg, Parviz Tanavoli, Kunisada Utagawa, Andy Warhol, and more.

Free curator tours will take place on September 19 and October 3 at 12 pm. More information is available here.
