The Richmond Museum has just announced that the 19th annual Doors Open Richmond will take place on June 6 and 7.

Throughout the weekend, more than 40 partner sites will invite visitors to experience the diverse cultural organizations, public facilities, and historical landmarks that form the fabric of Richmond. In addition to self-guided visits, the Richmond Museum will provide free bus tours of four different routes around the city.

Highlights this year include Alexandra District Energy Utility, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the city’s geothermal energy system; the Richmond Potters Club, showing how to create ceramic works; and London Farm, a four-acre historic site along the south arm of the Fraser River, telling the story of farming in Richmond from 1880 to 1930.

While most programs are available on a walk-in basis, some require advance registration. Visitors can find out more and plan a Doors Open experience through the Richmond Museum.
