Shadbolt Centre for the Arts presents MOSAÏCO, a vibrant celebration of diverse cultural origins, on November 21 and 22 at 8:30 pm.
In this piece choreographed by Audrey Gaussiran, flamenco, Québécois step dance, African, Latin, and urban dances converge, revealing the complexity of cultural identity. MOSAÏCO combines dance and digital art with a colourful projection that reacts to the movements of five dancers onstage. Poetic texts enrich the piece further, guiding the audience through a journey of profound emotions.
MOSAÏCO’s performers include Aly Keita, who has expertise in circus and Guinean dance, and Andrea Niño Sarmiento, who specializes in Afro-Colombian and contemporary dance. The team also features Aymen Benkreira, a versatile performer who excels in urban dance and tap, as well as Emmanuelle Martin, who is known for her gestural blend of ballet, urban dance, and Indian dance. Gaussiran will join the dancers onstage.
Tickets and more details are available here.
