The Firehall Arts Centre presents Small Town Artillery Collective on September 7 and 8 at 7 pm in the courtyard
THE INTIMATE OUTDOOR courtyard of the Firehall Arts Centre is the setting for an upcoming rock ’n’ roll show by Small Town Artillery Collective (STAC). Powered by violin and trumpet, the band is the project of Kaslo, B.C.-born brothers Tom and Derek van Deursen, who have been playing together for more than two decades. STAC has been their flagship project for the past 10 years.
The group is known for its poetic lyrics, hard-hitting riffs on guitar and brass, funky grooves, and soaring choruses and melodies. STAC has released a full-length album and two EPs. During the pandemic, the band pivoted and booked the Fewer Faces, Open Spaces tour, one of the only live-music tours in Canada during pandemic restrictions.
The act has headlined festivals and is signed to JumpAttack! Records. ![]()
