Fluevog Shoes unveils pretty pink heels to mark Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival’s 20th annual event
The sakura-inspired look is just one of the styles on offer at a February 5 shopping-night fundraiser for the fest

FLUEVOG SHOES HAS designed a special pink pair of Mary Jane heels to mark the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival’s 20th annual event.
The sakura-inspired shoe comes complete with ruffles and criss-crossed straps, with the blooms bedecking the design in silver and soft pink—perfect for kicking up your heels in Vancouver’s “pink snow” come late March and early April.
The flowery footwear will be on sale at a shopping-night fundraiser on February 5 at Fluevog Shoes Gastown (65 Water Street), where 50 percent of the sales of all items in the store will support the event’s springtime roster of 150-plus local artists and performers.
DJ G-Luve will be spinning tunes, and there will be doughnuts by Oohlala, savoury appies, a bar, and a special appearance by drag icon Mina Mercury.
It’s free to attend, but you need to register here, where you can pick a 5 to 7 pm or a 7 to 9 pm time slot.
This year's Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival runs March 27 to April 12, featuring events like the illuminated Blossoms After Dark at David Lam Park on March 27 and 28, and the family-friendly Big Picnic at the same spot on March 28 and 29.
