OUROFEST brings electrifying street dance to Massey Theatre, November 14 and 15

OUROFEST
OURO Collective presents the second edition of OUROFEST International Street Dance Festival, a celebration of dancers, DJs, and community, from November 13 to 17, with support from community partners Massey Theatre and New Works. Two evenings of mainstage performance are taking place at Massey Theatre on November 14 and 15.
On the electrifying first night, experience bold new works by OURO Collective cofounder Cristina Bucci and Joanne Park. An international guest artist—Greece’s Vasiliki Papapostolou, a.k.a. TARANTISM—will share a powerful solo that blends street dance, ballroom Latin, and physical theatre to embody the battle between ego, superego, and subconscious.
OUROFEST night two features a work by B.C.’s own Lewen Han and the highly anticipated return of Casual Gay Funk. Renowned German-born, L.A.-based artist RubberLegz—a B-boy who is celebrated for his ability to contort his body into unthinkable shapes—is performing a powerful duet with Matt Luck. The evening ends with an afterparty in studio 1C.
