Khatsahlano Street Party gears up for a spirited "Camp Khats"–themed festival on West 4th Avenue, July 5

Nostalgic activities planned for the 10-block music event include a Scavenger Hunt, a Donut Chomp Challenge, and so much more

Vancouver’s beloved Khatsahlano Street Party is set to transform West 4th Avenue into a vibrant hub of music, art, and community on July 5 from 11 am to 9 pm. This year, the free-to-attend festival embraces an exciting new theme: “Camp Khats”. Prepare for a nostalgic journey into the spirit of summer camp, complete with interactive stations, sing-alongs, and a brand-new Scavenger Hunt designed to immerse attendees in every facet of the festival.

Curated by local legend Zulu Records, the 2025 music lineup boasts over 60 B.C.-based performers across multiple stages spanning 10 blocks. Headlining the Burrard Stage, presented by TD and Stir, are Vancouver indie-rock favourite Meltt—a band known for cinematic soundscapes—alongside punk icon Joe Keithley of D.O.A. The stage will also feature genre-defying singer Ché Aimee Dorval and Stephen Hamm: Theremin Man with his Space Family Band, promising a psychedelic, theremin-fuelled experience.

Beyond the stages, the “Camp Khats” Scavenger Hunt offers a unique opportunity for festival-goers to actively participate in the Khatsahlano experience. Participants can earn patches by completing challenges like crafting at the Khats Craft Booths, visiting participating Low Tide tenants (Vivo Barefoot, Monos, Lisa Gozlan), and capturing memories at the Camp Khats Selfie Wall.

Beyond specific tasks, “Happy Camper” volunteers will be on the lookout for attendees enjoying the festival’s many offerings—from dining on patios and exploring shops to dancing along at the stages—rewarding them for embracing the “Camp Khats” spirit.

Adding to the excitement, the Active Zone makes its return to the Safeway lot, highlighted by an exhilarating Climbing Wall presented by Arc’teryx. Families can also head to the Khats Kids Stage presented by Native Shoes on Trafalgar Street for a day packed with music, crafts, and the new Donut Chomp Challenge by Ooh La La Donuts, where kiddos can chow down on some delicious pastries and win prizes. There are also more than 50 food truck options and multiple beer gardens stationed along West 4th Avenue.
