The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra presents Beethoven Piano Concertos, a concert featuring renowned pianist Anne-Marie McDermott, from September 19 to 21.

Maestro Otto Tausk will lead the VSO as pianist McDermott joins in performing both Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Piano Concerto No. 4. The program will also include French Romantic composer Louise Farrenc’s Symphony No. 3, a piece that exudes power and excitement and is currently experiencing a well-deserved revival. The overture to Mozart’s comic opera Così fan tutte will cap things off with mischievous charm and playful theatricality.

Performances will take place at the Orpheum on September 19 and 20 at 7:30 pm as part of the Assante Vancouver Centre Masterworks Diamond series, and at the Bell Performing Arts Centre on September 21 at 3:30 pm as part of the Surrey Sundays series.

For tickets to see the concert and more information, visit the VSO.
