Anvil Theatre is presenting Ballet BC Annex in a triple bill of three distinct, exciting works on November 15 at 7:30 pm. This performance caps off the ensemble’s fall 2026 touring schedule.
The program features world premieres by Canadian choreographer Cameron Fraser-Monroe and Ballet BC company dancer Michael Garcia as well as Vancouver-based Out Innerspace’s Last Flower. Garcia’s piece marks his exciting choreographic debut, while Fraser-Monroe presents a brand-new creation. Out Innerspace’s hauntingly beautiful Last Flower is an adaptation of an acclaimed piece originally commissioned and created for Ballet BC’s main company in 2024.
Ballet BC Annex is the junior ensemble of Ballet BC, Canada’s leading contemporary dance company. The pre-professional artists are currently training with Vancouver dance institutions Modus Operandi and Arts Umbrella Dance. The program supports the dancers’ career development with professional stage experience, while offering creation opportunities for emerging choreographers.
The Anvil Theatre is an exquisite space to view dance, with seating that gives audience members a bird’s-eye view of performers.
