Frida Kahlo: The Immersive Biography cancels Vancouver run at PNE Agrodome

Organizers cite logistical and time constraints for multimedia show that was set to launch May 3

AFTER LAUNCHING TICKET sales last week, the large-scale, multimedia Frida Kahlo: The Immersive Biography exhibit has cancelled its Vancouver run.

“Due to logistical issues and impossible time constraints, the Frida Kahlo: The Immersive Biography exhibition will not be able to make it to Vancouver this May as originally planned,” organizers from Layers of Reality, Tandem Expositions, and The Frida Kahlo Corporation said in a release this morning. “Anyone who has purchased tickets to the exhibition can be refunded at point of purchase or through TicketLeader at ticketleader.ca.” No other details have been released.

The digital-projection-based look at the Mexican artist’s life had been scheduled to make its West Coast premiere at the PNE Agrodome on May 3. The exhibition was being put on by The Frida Kahlo Corporation, Layers of Reality, and Tandem Expositions.
