The Anvil Centre Community Art Gallery presents Tangled in Blue to January 24

FYBR 2RT IS A group of Lower Mainland emerging and established fibre and textile artists, and its new show is now on at The Anvil Centre.

Tangled in Blue was the broad theme given to the FYBR 2RT group as a challenge after their inaugural exhibit titled Touch of Orange. Each participant interpreted the theme in their own ways, with a vast range of results.

The exhibition features a wide array of fibre techniques, including dyeing, painting, printing, and image transfers. There are also embellishments of beads, buttons, ribbon, and metal foils.

The FYBR 2RT group is holding an art workshop on January 14, 2024. Artists will share their background and story along with a walkthrough of the exhibit. After, the artists will give demonstrations of their textile techniques and processes.

Many of the artists have shown their work nationally and internationally; some teach the form and others have won awards for their art.
