The Vancouver Bach Family of Choirs invites audiences of all ages to celebrate the joy of the season at Christmas with the Bach Choir. This festive event returns to the Orpheum on December 6 at 2 pm.
Bringing together all nine ensembles of the Vancouver Bach Family of Choirs, the concert showcases the remarkable breadth of Vancouver’s choral community.
Joining the choirs for this diverse program—which includes seasonal favourites and choral music—are the Touch of Brass Quintet, organist Michael Dirk, and pianists Stephen Smith, Kin Ming Wong, Shifra Day, and Rosanna Lo. Conductors Leslie Dala, Marisa Gaetanne, Cathrie Yuen, Shane Raman, and Catherine Campolin will lead the ensembles.
Among the highlights is a much-loved audience singalong, inviting concertgoers to share in the festive spirit. And the Bach Family’s youngest singers, the Piccolini choir, will make a special pre-concert appearance at 1:20 pm in the Orpheum’s West Coast Energy Hall lobby.
