The second concert of Vetta Chamber Music’s 40th anniversary season, Stirrings, features the return of world-renowned harpist Rita Costanzi from November 14 to 17.

Costanzi first came to Vancouver in the late ’70s to be principal harp of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, then principal harp of the CBC Vancouver Orchestra. She was a regular invited guest on Vetta Chamber Music programs in the early years, and has notably spent time in New York and South America writing dramatic one-woman plays for herself and her harp.

The main work on Costanzi’s program, R. Murray Schafer’s Theseus for harp and string quartet, will showcase her dramatic flare and virtuosity as a performer.

Concerts take place at West Point Grey United Church on November 14, West Vancouver United Church on November 15, Pyatt Hall on November 16, and ArtSpring on November 17.

Tickets and full program details can be found at Vetta Chamber Music.
